Above is a picture currently going round on Facebook. The photo was shared by Nigeria Journalist, Aishat Alubankudi who called on member of the National Assembly to enact a lat that would stop the tribal mark practice in Nigeria.
It's about time people begin to realize what this does to young people of these days. The impact in the society has been all negative.
Listing a few:
- Inferiority complex
- No sense of satisfaction
- Scaring the beauty out
- Deserted by counterparts
- Missing out on opportunities
- Being disqualified for a certain job employments and positions
- feeling out of place
all these and many more are what scarred people in the society go through. There could be a tangible reason why this is done but it always doesn't look its best as they grow older.
Is this really necessary? Must it be done?
I pray that God opens our eyes to see more on this practice of scarring.
